Brad was the second Authorized DOGTIME® Canine Coach to join DOGTIME® Canine Recreation Company and currently lives and works in Calgary, Alberta.
Brad grew up surrounded by nature and animals on a small island off the coast of BC. Right from
an early age, Brad felt a strong connection with all animals.
After moving to the lower mainland, Brad volunteered as a dog walker with the local SPCA in 2005 and absolutely loved handling a variety of different dogs. That led to becoming a part-time pet nutrition specialist in 2006.
Late 2006 was a turning point in Brad's life, when he adopted the love of his life, Griff, a one year old Brussels Griffon / Pug cross. Griff was an out of control dog with huge behavioural issues. However, Brad realized that his love for Griff was stronger than the frustration that he caused and Brad decided that there was simply, no giving up. And like many professional dog trainers, Brad became fully immersed in dog training, including private sessions and group classes, because he had a dog he just didn't understand.
Brad saw hope, and results, right away and was so enthralled that he enrolled in a Dog Obedience Instructor Training Program. Brad chose to make coaching people and their dogs his final career choice in life.
Griff is now the most well-behaved dog who loves performing his skateboarding skills to anyone who will watch. And Brad is thrilled that he now gets to wake up everyday and help improve the bond between humans and dogs.
For the last few years, Brad was a training instructor for another company and has helped hundreds of dog owners in various levels of group classes. Brad then met DOGTIME's founder, Michelle Sevigny, and realized that they shared the same vision of dog training and was excited to join DOGTIME® as an Authorized DOGTIME® Canine Coach.
Brad shares his life with his Boston terrier, Petra, Shih Tzu, Lansky and of course, his Brussels Griffon X, Griff.
